Help!

OK well I boosted my d series this week and I have a few problems/questions.
#1- When I have my blow off valve all hooked up to the vacuum source it works well and all, but I do not get the nice torque that I do when I cap off the blow off valve, whats this about?
and
#2-My boost gauge will only read vacuum like way down to 20 in vac and it goes up slowly if I press the brake. I am so frustrated right now I am about ready to rip the whole set-up off my car and get out of boosting.

What kind of bov? is it leaking under boost? Can you elaborate on the vacuum problem?

Re: Help! (fab-forum.com)

It is a Turbo xs rfl, I think it must be leaking or something but when I take it off from its vac source and run with no bov I seem to boost fine. Maybe the spring inside is to weak and opening early??? As for the vac problem, I have my boost guage hooked up to a golden eagle vac manifold which is tapped into the brake booster, and it never leaves the vac area it usually stays around 20 in the vac area.

You wouldn't happen to have it connected to the brake booster would you? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

For number #1 your BOV could be leaking. What's the vac source BTW? curious.

Just give up. Honestly. If this shit's causing this much of a head ache for you THEN QUITE. Because boost isn't going to treat you nice 100% of the time.

And BTW. Why are you bumping your post after 15 minutes?

Yeah it is hooked to the brake booster I belive. And I have an RFL. And sorry for whining man it's been a long week and I have been annoyed by minor things, but boy o boy that boost is sweet (what I felt of it lol) https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Good luck with it man! Sorry I had to share my anger w/ya, but i guess you were the lucky one https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif haha.

Take it ez! OHH it's because you're hooked up to the brake booster that you see that rise on the boost gauge. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif It wont hurt anything.

Re: Help! (racinskittle)

I have it hooked directly off the booster, I just read I should hook it up closer to where the line goes into the Intake manifold, does this sound right?

Hey guys, I got everything fixed, turns out tee directly off the brake booster messed my bov and gauge up! I am much more happy now!
