Default hello, and my dyno graph

Like to say hello to all here, i am new to the world of FI.

I bought a Drag 3 kit for my gsr, installed it ran it went to tune it, and wideband showed numbers of 17:1. quick story, rings went down the *******.
had a spare b16 laying around from my ef, so i threw it in. Bought a F.A.S.T stand alone ecu and got it set up.

SO my set-up right now - 1st gen B16a,CTR cams, AEM cam gears, Drag 3 kit with Tial 35mm wastegate with .5 bar spring(i was told) 2.5inch dp, 3 inch hi-flo cat and exhaust. F.A.S.T ecu, msd 6a, RC 440cc injectors.
cam gears are set to 0 degrees.

VTEC seems a little high for your motor. Damn, 17 to 1 that is ****** lean!

How did you determine where to set the vtec?

How about a sheet with the AF?

Dyno the low speed cam, dyno the high speed cam and see where the trq curves cross. Also, I would look at dialing those cams in as well with those adj cam gears.

You can control the crossover points...so, I'd think you could graph a range where the curves would cross, ie, really low and really high vtec x-over points.

Also, backing up the "damn" on the 17:1 AFR...sounds like fmu no worky to me.
That's nucking futty lean .

That sucks, you lose a lot of torque downgrading to a B16

My assumption is that your loosing some of your boost because of the cams. ITR cams are about MAX you want to run IIRC - I think CTR cams are too much overlap.. You may want to consider swapping back in your GSR cams and going for a re-tune. Thats just my .02

How do you like the F.A.S.T. engine management? It's fully adjustable, like standalone, correct?

it is stand alone, its awsome caus enow we can adjust everything by as little or as much as we need.

as far as downgrading to the b16, yeah i felt the diff. but oh well cause the gsr block is getting built now so, I just keep remindng myself its temporary.

So if you have a stand alone ecu why are you using the rpm
pills. shouldn't that be adjustable. if not how are you tuning
your high and low maps.

Well I didnt know until I saw your thread today and remembered your lic. plate
your from guelph..put the 2 and 2 together..made sense to me

and I have an eye for turbo hondas since mine was once.

i was in a black SiR. didnt run to hawt. couldnt hook up worth a damn although azenis arent really drag tires.
15.00@93 mph was my best. was hoping for high 14's but it wasnt to be. (traps are there though)

with the stand alone that i have i guess that theres no vtec settings so im using an MSD acttivated switch.
