Default Headgasket? Whats the best?

I have a 400whp gsr. Its gone through two headgaskets now. The first one was just the cometic gasket, no copper spray. That lasted for about 4 months. My second one witch is also the cometic I copper sprayed this one lasted for about the same amount of time. I cant keep going through headgaskets.

Whats the best headgasket?
Copper spray or no?

Engine Details.

18 psi 57 trim t3t4
Victor X manifold
mahle 9.1 pistons
Eagle I beam rods
Block guard
Supertech valve springs rev to 8.5
ARP head studs

I use OEM , make sure your afr's are correct and that you are not running too much timing.

Beat me to it. OEM only, and if you're blowing a lot of headgaskets you are probably having light detonation problems.

It seems like everyone is saying OEM. But my tunner says commetic. He is a verry respectable guy in the area. I dont know why this is.

Why would anyone use commetic if OEM is better?

For you guys using the OEM,
How much horsepower is you car making?
How long has the gasket lasted, so far?

About 570whp and the gasket has lasted about 40 1/4 mile passes and 20~30 dyno passes. I've always used OEM/Golden Eagle headgaskets in my motors, they were never an issue.

Maybe your tuner is a Cometic dealer? I'm sure as long as the head and block are prepped right, you will be fine with either gasket.

I been only using OEM headgaskets and have never ran into any problems and I even reuse them (only one time) with copper spray. I have a t3/t4 b20vtec with b16 head 381 whp. Been running for 10k miles now
