Default Headed to the track....(turbo gsr hatch)

Well i headed out to the 131 for some drag times on the hatch. I picked up some drag radials from my buddy to try to get some traction this year. I knew they were touch small (BFG 205/50/14) for me but my buddy gave me sweet deal on them.

So i get there to massive line to pay and then massive line for Tech, I'm thinking oh great.. So then i see the line for staging is short, SWEET. So i go swap my wheels do my susp. adjustments. go to get in line and its backed all up. Some guy lost his oil all down the track. So after an hour forty min. they get it clean and we start to go. i get one run in and i hit a 2.3 60ft and 13.0 at 117mph. I wanted to hit a 12.9 and i'd be happy, so i'm great i can make it. go line up drop few psi on tires wait another 40 min. Line it up and go i hit a 2.1 60ft and a 12.5 at 119mph. SO PUMPED cause i was spining 1st and most of 2nd till 6k. It was now 12:30 and i was down for the night i made my goal plus some. I still have to add my LSD and i was 50lbs over weight due to my bad and over fillling with to much gas DUH. Still i'm super pumped and thought i'd share. Any ideas would be great as i'd love to get faster.

-1st run
R .6358
60ft 2.36
330ft 5.98
1/8 8.7
1/8mph 92.59
1/4 13.0
1/4mph 117.19

-2nd run
R .7190
60ft 2.18
330ft 5.72
1/8 7.9
1/8mph 91.65
1/4 12.5
1/4mph 119.11

So yea thanks guys for reading sorry i suck at english.

first off, how much power are you making?

also, what vibrant muffler are you running?
is it by any chance just the round canister TPV muffler? Ive been trying to find a sound clip of it... my buddy with a mazdaspeed protege has one on it and i love the sound of it, but i know itll be different on a teggy, or a b18c1, anyways.

Thanks guys!!!

I havent dynoed yet. Thats coming 1st week of july.

Its the flat black oval muffler. About 80% of HT run them i bet haha

As for the trap speed i'm not sure. i mean the turbo is good for 350hp. i'm only running 10.5psi. I think with good quailty parts you can do lot more with less. thats how i've built all my cars.

Thanks again

damn, i was hoping it was the other style.

But nice setup, and nice times... Thats really neat.

Did you have anything else to help with traction other than the drag radials? maybe traction bars/lsd or anything?

Thanks guys

For launching i just preloaded clutch and just went to 4k and kinda slipped the clutch out and then got into it like 4 stabs to get up to speed little before i shifted. I didnt heat them up near enough.

320 damm!! I was onlt shooting for 300. Cant wait to dyno!!!!!

get some slicks, your probably over or right around 300whp. traps are fast.

i was doing 12.6 @ 108mph with good traction, you can get a mid 11 if you get some more hook.

right, which iss why i said a little over 300. last year my car was making about 325-330 and i was trapping 114-115, but i weighed about 300 lbs more than a hatch

I did weigh the car when i was there it was 2370 with me in it. I had over half tank of gas. When i checked with 1/4 tank of gas left i was at 2320 with me in it. I dont know how much 50lbs would take off my time though??

Wow, pretty impressive for a turbo that would be considered pretty mild. I have a GT2871R if your interested in a minor upgrade Get some slicks and get those 60' times down and you'll cut some awesome times. Clean setup
