Head gasket and timing belt question
Ok so yeah, I'm in the process of building my engine...I've heard misc things about how oem head gaskets are better than cometic...and I'm looking for anywhere between 450-500 on high boost...so I was wondering what you guys have had experience with when it comes to timing belts and head gaskets, what do you recommend?

OEM and OEM as opposed to like toda and cometic?...hm, I just cant see how oem will hold up to 450-500 hp, not to mention I like the flexibility of being able to lower/raise compression with cometics head gaskets....Simply because I'm runnin 9.0:1 compression and I kinda wanted to bump it up a little

This is a common question that you will see in all of the car forums. I would just suggest that you use a MLS gasket. I didnt think the OEM honda gaskets were MLS but I could be mistaken. I know the cometic gaskets are MLS and I currently have them on both of my cars with no sealing issues. The biggest thing with MLS gaskets sealing is making sure that both the block and head have unwarped and smooth surfaces.

In all seriousness I was running autozone headgaskets this past year. Never had a problem with them.

Hm, see I planned on using a high comp headgasket with a really low thickness to boost compression of my 9.0:1 slugs...idk, maybe its the thicker gaskets?
