Head Gasket and Head Bolt Questions
I have two questions to ask for the experts.
What kind of Head Gasket is the best to use with an LS built motor. Rods/Pistons/Rings? (The honda gasket is not too safe)
What head studs is everybody using? (ARP) or something else.

The STOCK headgasket I heard is very strong, but I just wanted to make sure. ARP are the best head studs/bolts around.
Anybody else with any input on this subject?

all of the 10 sec and lower cars that I know of use stock head gaskets and arp studs (I know Kenny T and Papadakis use that setup)... that is what I use as well and it works good!

I guess thats the setup we are going with next. The headgasket that we put into the motor when we built it was defective.

The headstuds ARP sent me were too long, but i have a D16y8. THey are now sending me the THIRD set, and hopefully have these right. They just realized the problem with the honda engines. THeir original part number was 6.45 inches long. Now the are sending me one that is 5.7 inches.
Hopefully they've got it right this time....so, i dont know about the b18 engine, maybe there are no problems with that, but you can call APR. I have some direct numbers if you need them.
