Default Have problems with the shorty manifold? Oil return and ic pipinig?? Here's what i did!! Teg is alm

Well my turbo install is just about done!! I'm just waiting on a freaking tial wastegate to come in the mail and then i can fire it up and do a few heat cycles before i take it in for tuning! Just thought i would post up what i did as far as the common problems go with having a shorty manifold. The oil return line i literally had to fab from the ground up but if anyone is interested i will tell you exactly what i did. The ic piping is pretty much self explanatory from the pics. Let me know what you guys think!!
Dan

As long as the drain is going downhill, I don't see why it shouldn't work. The picture angle just looks deceiving.

Is that a K&N air filter? Is it a 2.75" ID? If it's a K&N, what's the part number?

Yeah, the return line and intercooler piping was the biggest hassle on my install too. I did what you did with the return line but I used a 90 degree fitting and a different clocking angle. I don't want to have an elbow welded onto the turbo, so here is how I did it.

^^That's a new one...i haven't seen it routed up and over like that. By the way, that's a pretty sweet setup It looks a little bit like the one i had on my GSR. I wish i hadn't spun a rod bearing or you and i'd be shooting for the same power goal with the wonder fuel (E85)

Thanks. I had to be creative with what I was working with.

That sucks...I didn't know you spun a bearing. I just got done refreshing the motor with new rings, rod bearings, and headgasket for race season, so "hopefully" there shouldn't be any problems.

all fittings for the return line were ordered from ATPturbo.com The fitting coming off the CHRA is a 45 deg barbed...which then i cut almost in half as far as length...then i made my own barb. So i basically just made the 45 shorter to allow the right angle for the tubing to bend. Worked perfectly.

It's 2.5" ID and technically it's not a K&N filter it's from ATP Turbo but its basically the same thing as a K&N as far as flow and reliability.
