Has anyone used the new probe industries forged rods
They cost even cheaper than the Eagle rods and looks just as strong as a crower rod..
I mean you get what you pay for so.. i am wondering how these rods perform.. I never built an engine wiht it but now they have GSR rods as well as LS now so just wondering..

i dont know about crower, but id give them a close to eagle quality
and a lot less weight. For NA or light turbo i would use them. Big HP turbo,
imight think twice.

Re: Has anyone used the new probe industries forged rods (sgT)
I have built about 5 agressive n/a motors with them no problem. I would not use them with a f/i motor. You can only go so light with out sacrificing strength. You get what you pay for isn't always true, I remember seeing Eagle rods sold as Mugen for triple the price once. They must have come in a $500 box.

Re: Has anyone used the new probe industries forged rods (TREVER)
The casting is made in China and finished by Probe. They have a killer price. I haven't used mine but Jeff mentioned having the rods pin fitted. I tried it with my piston set and the bushings are really tight. That is additional cost for labor. I'd use it in a killer NA application. Low boost turbo. say about 15psi.

Manley has been around a lot longer than Eagle, that's for sure I'm sure they're bad *** considering their stuff for domestics.
