Has anyone had problems with the prodrive oil pump gear?
I bought one awhile back so I can put it in when I rebuild my motor. I have an LS block and the oil pump gear is for a GSR, the guy at Prodive said they should be the same size and it will work with my oil pump. But now I have people telling me they make defective products and i should use stock. I don't know if I should return it or not. PLEASE some with the oil pump gear let me know of your experience.....Also do I need a GSR oil pump? Thanks

Yes, you need the GSR housing, the LS housing is too small for the Vtec oil pump gear.

i dont know if this is true or not, but someone said LS ppl will need to use a GSR timing belt, is this correct?

I have only heard good things about prodrive. I have one sitting in my closet waiting for the oil pump to get here. So, it better be good. I have heard accounts of the prodrive lasting where a toda did not.

I know this is an old topic, But does anybody know which timing belt to use? I should be getting my motor back on Monday and I would like to have it together ASAP. Thanks in advance, Evan

Timing belt = water pump
ls water pump = ls timing belt
gsr water pump = gsr timing belt
ls water pump = ls timing belt
gsr water pump = gsr timing belt
