My friends manifold actually cracked, at the wastegate flange but he rewelded it and added a brace

Why eat dog fish today if you can eat caviar tomorrow? Save up and get something that is better designed and fabricated.

Mine's Okay i guess....Its braced so no cracks. Hey cant argue with free right? If only Lovefab Manifolds were a little cheaper *Hint* =P

Oh BTW If you are using an external wastegate, dont bother with this manifold. CCCCRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPP

buy the right part the first time; not a second time. Sure 500 for a manifold seems like alot; but pay ~200 now and later on your going to be pissed that you have to fork out another 500 to fix your cheap manifold. So instead of paying 500; you paid 700......Ive learned this concept my whole building process. GL hths!

the new ones are braced. my friend is running it on his gsr turbo in his del sol. the only problem he has had is the turbo (he also bought from them) has very slight shaft play but isnt affecting it at all they we could tell. also the downpipe they send in the package is like 1 and 3/4 big so he just had a custom one made at the exhaust shop when he got his full exhaust ran. he also is running a external wastegate and i dont see the boost creep someone mentioned above. i think ssautochrome saw that people were having problems and relized it needed to be braced and they did so. so overall i like the manifold and i will be buying the same kit my buddy is running for my 1993 civic vti.

I am running the Spark Racing version of this manifold and for the guy that said they creep have you ever used one? I made 412hp on this manifold with NO CREEP at 19psi. I havent had my car running long enough to tell you it will last but so far I am happy with it. If it cracks thats my fault for not bracing it but as for power and it creeping I am happy. I am just basing this on my car and what I have seen not what everybody says. I am sure some have cracked but mine is fine. I guess we will have to wait and see. Bottom line so far is that it made power and it dosent creep like my buddies $1000 (wont mention names) custom manifold with Tial 46mm gate

Im working on putting my turbo kit on using this manifold as we speak. It seems to be of good quality and looks way better than the normal style you see everywhere. I purchased it about 2 months ago and the manifold is braced. As for anything else that is wrong with it only time will tell...Right now I feel its just like any other part out there. Some people have good luck, others don't. I was warned not to purchase the clutch that I did (exedy cerametallic) and it works great...Oh yea and the love fab is off the hook. I might buy one later if I wana go further with boosting my prelude.

I bought one for $320 <EBAY> had the flang changed and added an exstension to the wastgate flang then HPC coated all of this and look so pretty but has small cracks showing up at 300 miles. I'd say brace it to prevent from this happening or just dump it and get a new one. Your choice....

hmm... alright, I'm still a little confused. The new ones are supposed to be braced? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...26851 is that braced? It comes with a 35mm wastegate. How does that wastegate look that comes with it? As for placement of the wastegate... do you want exhaust gas flowing to it well? or the other way around? Which causes creep? And as for the length of the wastegate piping, do u want it to be short or long? I'm hoping they did modify up their manifolds a bit from previous ones. sorry for any repeated and answered questions... I've done the "search."

The wastegate looks great. A friend purchased the actual Tial 35mm gate and it Looks identical except the Tial is Polished and says Tial on it!

I sale kits with the a similar polished tubular design it is stronger then the ss auto. I have had no complaints. Same with the tial style 35mm WG. Obviously if you want too boost alot like 18-25 psi you would want sfp, inline, full race manifold. I would recommend bracing downpipe so not a lot of wieght is on it, but a lot of peeps dont and its fine. I have a friend that has one on his b16 bottom with just 9-1 pistons and eagle rods and a stock gsr head and is making 350 whp and 250 trq with this manifold at 12 psi and his is not braced and he has been harping on the thing now for 6 months plus it is his daily driver atleast 50 miles a day on it. He daily drives and is also able to rip it up on the street and track. Check out my kits!

A lot of dsmers are using the sscrhome manifolds now a days. I haven't heard any horror stories yet. Maybe it's because it's designed/built different (the runners are different).
