Turns out I have not 1 but 3 stripped manifold bolt holes on my head. The good news is, it's not leaking, the bad news is should I have to remove the manifold again (and I'm sure I will one way or another), they'll most likley start a nice manifold leak. has anybody had to re-thread the mani bolt holes before? And if so, which route did you take? I'm between Heli-coiling and straight tapping.

Don't bother with a rethread.. you'd end up using a larger bolt/thread since the material is gone.

search around for helicoils and timeserts... they sleeve the hole and allow you to use the same bolts as before.

Are they on the intake or exhaust side?

I would just go with the heli, b/c you would have to bore out the manifold on those holes also to accomidate the new bolts.
