Half Radiator fits but not with fan
i just put a rev hard turbo kit in my 90 crx si. my Half rad fits with 1/2 inch clearance and my fan does not fit. what r my options? can it put my fan on the outer part of my radiator?

some use pusher fans. i've always been taught build your turbo set up around your cooling set up. cooling is more important.

Pusher fans are the same as puller fans (given they can be wired to run in reverse with out causing damage). Most aftermarket fans can be wired either way so they will push or pull.

I run a Maradyne fan with a reversable blade, so I can mount the fan on either side of the rad. due to my 4" downpipe, I am now running the fan in front of the rad.

Most fans can be reversed by changing the polarity (+/-) AND flipping the blades. Most fan blades are designed to turn a certain way, and loose a lot of CFM's if you don't flip them when reversing flow.
The other option is a VW radiator. Someone at realhomemadeturbo.com put one into his 88-91 Honda, and it fit very well. You just have to mod the radiator a tad to seal unused holes. The downside is you will run HOTTER if you use it but don't heatwrap your exhaust parts.

i rewired my FAL fan to spin in reverse and put it on the front and it cools fine.
every true push/pull fan ive ever seen had blades that were designed to work spinning either direction ive never seen one that you had to flip the blades around on. can someone post a brand name or pic of one that needs to be flipped. i cant really picture how it would work.

My BeCool Fan I had to remove the fan blades and flip them around for it to push instead of pull, there are a couple out there, some though are only push or pull, like some Flex-Lite fans.

no doubt thanks guys. the rad would be even more cramped on the other side. i ordered a 12" pusher fan so we will see how it goes!
