had car inspected(in tx.)BARELY passed the emissions!d16z6 w/greddy kit
had to pay the tax man today for tags and inspection($92),had the car at the inspection staton,and he tells me it BARLEY PASSED!plus he didnt even put it on the dyno(to load test at 2700 rpm!)what the fu*#!thought this was a carb legal kit?!my set up is all stock 95 civic ex w/d16z6.i have the greddy kit w/tpye 24 fmic and the fmu-inline pump-missing link set up.would the "hack" be a "cleaner"set up or would the emissions be the same?ill scan the paper in the a.m.the bad part of the smog test was a number that had to be a max.of 200,my # matched the max.,then again-maybe he put that # in to pass me,he liked my car!so did his 2 mexican buddies,they looked at my car and said it had nos!lol! lmk what you think

how did he check emissions on an obd1 car w/ out putting iy on the dyno?

yep.i guess he was trying to pass me,no matter what!!he said if it went on the dyno,it probably would have failed!whatta bitch!

The carb legal kit from greddy doesn't include a bov and intercooler. I think that should be your problem.

carb **** is bullshit, bov and intercooler only affect's the stupid cali's CARB rule, but as for PHYSICAL emission like those C0, N0 and HC emissions, the bov and intercooler is just a wider area for the air to flow.
think about this, if you put a stock car with some longer piping from the air filter to the TB, you think that affect emission levels?!?!?? hahah, it gets air no matter what, so you know what, people and emission people are fucked.
what really affects is the a/f raito (injectors maybe) and most importantly the CAT.
