Repalcing my .63 turbine 57trim t3/t4. Got a deal on a t3/t04e .82 turbine with 60-1 wheel compressor. My engine is built .
Did I make a good choice????

Were you not satisfied with .63/ 57trim? What numbers were you making with that turbo?
I recently got my t3/t4 .63a/r 60 trim looking to make anywhere between 350-400whp.

Ok the turbo(t3/t04e with 60-1 wheel .82 stage 3 turbine) is now the car (H22) but I am very dissapointed with the output. I know that the car is making alot less power now than with my old turbo (t3/t4 57 trim comp. .63 stage 3 turbine) at the same boost level. I expected to just have a later spool, but even more power up top, but this not the case.
Is there any way that I can regain the power with this turbo?
Please give advice.

Re: (B18C1CYA)
yea did a bit of tuning but no difference....... I am getting about 15 psi at 4500 rpm and the wheels wont even get loose. I feels like the cams remain on low lobe right through almost like no vtec .

What program are you running? Did you dyno tune or street tune or did both?

Actually ecu is stock .....I use a vortech fmu with larger injectors (4:1 ratio) plus HKS aditional injector controller running 2x 720cc independently . This work well (385 at the wheels 14psi) till the day I changed the turbo.

Point well taken, will be doing that soon..........Question though. This setup worked well with my old turbo, should I not even be getting the same power with the .82 turbine or even close to it?

You should have more top end power. Spoolin' wise it might be a tad bit slower nothing to be worried about though. But definately get a real ems.

You will make much more power with your new turbo. You will not be able to utilize it though until you properly tune the engine. Without an ems you are just asking to blow your motor up.
