H22 guys - crankcase vent idea
I've had this idea in my head for a while. I want to get some input from HT before I drill holes into my shiny new parts.
- drill 0.375-0.5" hole in aluminum plug (under the KS block-offf plate). Keep in mind that two other small holes exist in OEM oil pump casting casting
- strategically placed threaded hole in KW BS eliminator plate.
- install fitting and run hose to the catchcan.
comments, suggestions, flaming - all welcomed.

Two bad thoughts come to my mind right away.
First: Why would you want to route a hose over there, assuming that you are mounting the catch can on the pass. side of the bay.
Second: Wouldn't that be way too close to the timing belt for comfort?

Q1. It's not ideal, but where else can you access the h22 crankcase?
Q2. That's an irrational fear. The engine mount is closer to the timing belt.
the rear balance shaft is 10 feet away from the timing belt.

Ah yeah, for some reason I was spacing out the tensioner, and just envisioning the belt running straight to the water pump. Exahusted from a bike ride and a few drinks will do that lol.
