Default h22 + 500whp= possible???

this is guy where i live is a dsm guy. well he said there no way i hell tha my car produce 500whp.NO WAY!!! Well to make a long story short , i took a bet for $500 that my car after rebuild can produce 500whp. I only need to hit it once, then retune it for 400.

so my question is , with the build im planning on doing with a fuel cell setup, running c16 an lets say a 75-100shot(fogger wet) will that get in my 500whp?

im planning on running straight c16..not a blend. so im thinking i could raise the boost way up with that ****.

my quick build:

eagle rod
cp pistons
t3/t4oe 60 trim

maybe a resleeve. i have it planned in build but ive been readin it might not be nesssory. i dont know.

A resleeve is mandatory if you want to run forged pistons.

500whp is possible on the stock sleeves and internals, but don't count on it lasting too long. There's a thread in the Prelude forum that made over 500whp on a stock block, but it threw a rod shortly afterwards.

BTW, you're going to spend thousands of dollars just to prove to a guy that you can hit 500whp, and make only $500?

i was planning on rebuildig it anyways in oct.

i odnt have to resleeve it to run forged pistons. mahle makes some the work the frm sleeves.im just wondering about the sleeves also. so you guys think i could squeeze 500whp out this? i only need to do it once then like i said retune it for 400whp for the street.

You do if you were going to run the pistons you originally posted, CP.

How much did Tyler H make on his stock block H22 with Mahle pistons? He had to somewhere in the neighborhood of 500whp, right?

i've been a DSM guy and now i build a jetta. Along with helping my buddies with their 500WHEEL hp +++ hondas. Tell him to grow up, there are more cars out there then his DSM. Alot of DSM guys are like that. They are close minded. LOL, from personal experience, ask him to bet 2 grand on who's will stay up longer with the amount of mods. lol. it sure wont' be the DSM. I had a setup that should of produced 600whp on my DSM, but had it street tuned with a SAFC and was putting down maybe 450....it was down too much to even work on.

I've learned alot from my honda buddies and they have VERY clean cars. My buddy tonight finally got his $900 ebay kit to work (there were little knotches on the head that had to be filed down to get the manifold to fit, i posted a thread about this a while ago, which was causing MAD exhaust leak and building no boost, now it is working) and his car rips like crazy for a non-forged FI motor only on 7 pounds.

Don't build your car for someone else, do it for yourself bro. I know i'm a no0b on this forum (and really only checked back to check the post i started), but i know and have seen alot. Yes you can get 500whp out of it. My buddy has a fully built/balanced/blue printed h22 in his hatch that's fully gutted and caged....he's put down almost 700whp on race gas. That doesn't have to be proven, the only thing he will be able to get on you is traction IF he has an awd DSM.....

my turbo isnt very big. thats the down fall here.

T3/T4 60TRIM STAGE 3 WHEEL.

Thats why i think i might need some juice to help the hp.

I was planning on doing his build regardless of what he says. i just want to 500whp once then call it day.

You're dissing DSMs because you didn't hit 600whp with an AFC as a tuning tool? Aww geez....

wtf. you dont give incorrect information. are you even running an H motor? youve gotta sleeve to run any forged pistons on an H series motor. Unless you run mahles but they still seem to cause scarring of the cylinder walls eventually.

the stock sleeves are plenty strong, and should have no problem supporting 400-500 hp.. if you can then get a set of mahle, they have fixed their valve issues and their is a whol h22 mahle thread around here with many people runing them..

with the trubo you have chosen your going to be able to get 400+ but boost # will have to be a bit higher than if you ran a larger turbo.. if you truely NEED to make 500 , then consider a larger turbo..
