GT37R versus GT3788R
searching turbos and want to see which one is bigger and better, I am not sure if they are the exact turbos, I currently have a t3/t67 and I wanna change to something ball bearing, but wanna keep same size or bigger in a t3 flange.

Full-Race calls a Ball Bearing T3/T67ho a GT37R.... in T3 form they can make 700-750hp depending on the dyno..... I am selling one right now that only has one pass on it.
The GT3788R has the same Comp wheel as a GT40R but with a smaller Turbine wheel, Garrett rates it at 675hp.... and as far as I know its divided T4 only

From what iuve gathered the gt37 is more of a diesel application and the wheel combinations dont work as well as a better thought out turbo system. thats what ive read and got from dealers.
the t3/t67ho is where its at IMO. the ball bearing is only going to give you a little better spool its more respool thats effected by ballbearing turbos. Alot of peopel are going with precisions new 6265 billet and making t67 power and they are offered in bb

Wouldnt the rather large increase in displacement, higher compression and slightly smaller turbine wheel help spool alot?

thanks that answered my question.
to all my only reason for searcing this turbo is not for a quicker spool up, its only because I want a more reliable turbo that will withstand the long autobahn drives, water cooled, better oiling, therefore ball bearing. my t67 is burning a little oil and some play.

Thats odd, why did my 8.2:1 GSR cammed 1.8L with a BB 67ho outspool my friends 9.5:1 true 2.0L with a journal 67 stg5 wheel by a good 500rpm? The rest of the setup was identical........ not a true back to back test but it has to mean something.

Yes same boost pressure..... 21-23psi
1) but there is a difference correct?
2) 85x89 is a true 2.0L, so your saying increasing displacement does not decrease spool time?
3) higher compression increases power off boost and responce and shouldnt that equate to "coming into boost" a little faster?

my t3/t67 journal bearing turbo spools real fast on a 2.0l motor, spool up time it over rated for bb turbos. but from what I've between shift response is where a bb performed, plus its more reliable. I launch at 6500rpm so thats way above spool time, does not matter.
