Re: gt35r v.s. gt30r (wantboost)
but how much faster?
my car is build for the street and dd. i just finished re-building the motor (84mm b16) and i think the gt35r might be a little laggy for me. but i already have it.

The 30r is more streetable then the 35r. Your turbine house will help determine spool time. The 30r choices are .63,.82,1.06. 35r is .63,.82, 1.06, 1.18. I would go with the GT30r with the .63 turbine housing

GT30R is being pushed to tha max at about 550 WHP. GT35R will do 650 WHP leaning on it. There was an ITR on Jeff's boards that made ~450 WHP on pump gas with the 30R.

Re: gt35r v.s. gt30r (turboEGhatch)
i have almost 10:1 compression so thats going to limit my psi on pump gas, thats why i might just keep the gt35r because i will make more power on pump.
i have a feeling that the gt30r will be alot more fun on the street.

Those are some graphs of the 2 turbos. Both have fairly decent powerbands.

I'm wondering the same thing too...do these guys lower their VTEC x-over or do they raise them? where do they normally have their x-over set at?

Re: (D@nnY)
im not tying to make 600+ hp(at least not tight now) its a street car and the power is useless on the street. what size injectors do you need to make that power, i think that will max out my 880's. how much power did you make on pump? whats your set up?

Only in the last 700rpms in the top end will this happen, and that is with a pressure ratio of over 2.224
Sorry to be a poindexter

Re: (downeyballz)
If it were my motor I would opt for the GT3076RLE or GT3076RLS. The GT35R is going to give you a more unwanted lag as it sounds like your power goal isnt over 500whp. If it were over 500whp I would opt for the GT35RLE or GT35RLS. Good luck.

Different compressor covers.

<Edit>
And the L designates water cooling.
