Soulds like a good setup too me. What are your power goals?

I would say about 4250-4750rpms if you are running a ball bearing.

That doesn't leave much left for a power band, thats only about 1/3 of his rpm range. If that thing starts to get moving at 4250-4750rpms your going to hate it.

I ran a t4 sc61 (.70, .58a/r) that was spooled around 4750-5000 on my build 2.4 h23a1. Even though I only revved to around 7500, the power band was fine for me.

Ok, and the car probably feels pretty much stock before that. In normal driving, I'd say, shifting a 4000 or so, it will be frustrating to not have any power on tap. Your going to have to downshift all of the time and it's going to be annoying. Its not going to be fun to drive. This is the problem I have now with a big t3/t04e, and I'm going to smash it into little pieces when I get a new GT turbo.

im in the same kinda situation when it comes to turbos,

i have a fulley built block
sleeved
je 8:1 compression pistons
crower h beam rods
the whole 9 yards

thing is with my setup and low compression ratio i dont want the turbo to spool real late in the rpm and i wanted it somewhat early in the rpm and only want to rev to factory rev limit.

a smaller gt-r series turbo is probably what i will go with, given the fact i may run 15-20psi daily its hard to say where my motor will spool in the rpm

same thing with 9:1 compression pistons, you want something somewhat fast in the rpm to spool and want it as early as possible for full boost. the larger you go the later the spool try to find a happy medium

Chad,

Both of those Turbos have 61mm Wheels...I would use a SC61 P-Trim .63AR.

Either in T3 or T4. T3 would be SC6176, T4 is PT61

Use that displacement

When's the new project going to be ready to throw down?
