Default GT3076R -13 Turbo Part Number

I understand there are three types of the Garrett GT30R turbo (GT3071R, GT3076R, and GT3040R). I am more interested in the GT3076R. Now there are also some variances with the GT3076R. There are three versions that the GT3076R is offered. The differences I believe are the cartridges. The offering is a -12 cartridge (520 HP), -15 cartridge (550 HP) and -13 cartridge (600 HP). I am looking at the -13 cartridge (600HP). How can I identify what turbo I receive? Is there a product number that I can request when ordering the -13 cartridge? Does the plate on the turbo state that it's a -13? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

im running a -13 GT30 from my testing it makes about 10 whp less than a 35R on pump but spools 500 rpm sooner. the -13's torque does fall off earlier compared to a 35R though

I just received that exact turbo from Precision. The part # for it was GT3076RLS-13.

Garrett CHRA P/N is 700177-13. That should be stamped on the CHRA.

I have a -13 with a custom S cover with anti-surge slots .70 A/R, 4" inlet, 2.5" outlet

.82 A/R 3" V-band

Precision SC-3431E on the left.

how much $$ do these run with the anti surge cover?

how much HP are they rated for?

The 56 trim 3076 is rated for 55lbs/min, the 60 trim is rated for 60lbs.

The 56 trim is the regular 3076 and comes standard with an anti-surge E cover. Dont let the ignorant tell you its an S cover just because it has a 4" inlet. Its still an E cover as its .60 AR with a 2" outlet just the inlet is bigger for the anti-surge.

The 60 trim does not come with anti-surge. Its straight S or E cover.

how would you compare this turbo you are decribing to a gt3040r?

the only difference in the 3040r and the 35r is the turbine is 6mm smaller

also with the -13.how do you think the divided .78 AR hotside would respond with a properly designed manifold?.....and how would that effec the max output of the this turbo? 500whp? 600whp? what?

also if you got it from the link posted how would you know you were getting the -13?
it doesn't say anything about the different variations of this turbo?

The -13 is not a common turbo, you'd need to call a direct Garrett distributor to get one. Its more common from DSM/EVO vendors. And like I stated before, the CHRA part number will be stamped on the CHRA. And if you don't believe that you can measure the wheels.

Both the 3082 (aka 3040) and 3076-13 are rated at 60lbs/min. Both have the same turbine yet the -13 has the smaller compressor wheel. What does that tell you? Maybe the -13 is a more efficient wheel or a better match for the turbine. It can do the same with less. And because its less I believe its going to spool faster. Anyways I feel your going to max out the GT30 turbine before you can make full advantage of the 82mm compressor wheel anyways.

Of course the 61/82mm compressor wheel from the 3582/3082 is awesome and very popular. If your one who likes to make big power on low boost then the 3082 is what you want. And it may generate less heat per psi because its larger. However its going to be more sluggish and I valued response/spool more.

Actually its 8mm but yes they share the same compressor wheel hense the 82 in their names. But 8mm is huge.

I think the divided turbine housings look very promising but I haven't heard any definitive data on spool rates or affects on power. You'd need a custom manifold to take full advantage of it too.

i know this thats why i said a PROPERLY designed ex. mani. but it seems like a compromise between the .63 and .82

ya know?

any Holsets remotely like either of these turbos?
any other turboes compare to either of these 2? you know anything about the straight GT32 or gt37?

There are some from the Borg-Warner family that would have a similar result in which they rely more on an extended tip-technological aspect (Changing the actual LENGTH between the inducer and exducer) in order to acheive the same result. The S258 from the S200 series has had some excellent results.

How do they compare in price? And do they have optional ball bearing CHRA's?

Friend of mine is just finishing up his divided-top-mount w/ the divided housing GT30 from ATP, I'm sure the results will be up soon.
