GT28RS simple journal (cheap) bearing dropin...ish replacement?
I currently have a working, albeit shaft play and turbine damaged, gt28rs on my car. I'm worried about it going out down the road... and want to have some spare on hand. A spare to use/fill the space while I put together funds to replace the chra on the gt28rs.
I believe I have a .64 housing which is already vbanded (my current gt28rs has the .84 and was vbanded also). So i have a housing option, same bolt up... but smaller turbhine wheel fitment. I believe its a t25 (why i have it... don't ask... silly mistake )
Anyways... are there any t25 series turbo that "bolts" upto the gt28rs turbine housing? Possibly something that shares similar/same oil/water inlet outlet fittings or format?
Key for me here is probably something oemish that is as close to bolt in as possible and simple to find/cheap. Enough requirements?....

Re: GT28RS simple journal (cheap) bearing dropin...ish replacement? (splitime)
I believe most any T28 will bolt up, problem is because the compressor is so much larger on the 28rs than most any t28 out there (including the pulsar GTiR t28) that your comp. outlet and comp inlet might not fit perfectly, or even close.

Re: GT28RS simple journal (chimmike)
I wonder how close they all are in that family with regards to oil feed/drain and water cooling fitment.
Sigh, why couldn't this just be nice and simple to have a little backup plan.

I recently did a GT2860RS on a Mazda that had a T28 from a Nissan, possibly a Skyline or Silvia, on it.
The turbine exhaust flange was about the only thing that matched up to it, and even then I had to hog out bolts.
The GT is way bigger in every way, and the CHRA and housing mating were different between the two as well.
