gt turbo coolant - atpturbo.com??
I know that atpturbo sells kits to get you going with coolant lines and all. Are these helpful? what parts do I need to buy to get going with the coolant stuff?

ATP has the GT series fittings it comes in a kit for about $70.00 I think.... my friend just bought some for his GT2871r. I recomend you getting all the fittings through ATPTURBO.COM. Make sure you get the -4an fitting with built in oil restrictor then contact Stan at fast-turbo.com for the ss lines as the one's that ATP sells are not able to swivlle for different angles, just my experience with them.

i'm sorry to sound so stupid, but I guess i dont know much - what do i want for my coolant fittings, npt or barb? what does that all mean?

if you are tight on cahs. jsut get the barbed fittigns and use normalrubber lines.. If you have money. use the flared AN fittings with AN braided lines. Either will work fine. It's jsut water, it's nto highly pressurized or anything

NPT = National Pipe THread
Barbed is more of a straight fitting you slide a hose over that has directional ribs to make a snug fit inside the hose and to keep it from sliding off.

Barbed just means it will be a barbed fitting and the hose will slide over top. NPT (which is kind of a misleading name) would most likely be threaded connectors so you can screw in stainless lines. I'm surprised they don't offer the kit with banjo fittings as well.

so where, specifically, do I run these things to? ive posted this here before but i never got a straight answer. Tchleung said - to the FITV and the IM. that doesnt make much sense. To where on the FITV do i run one hose, and to where on the IM do i run the other?

Basically there is a coolant line that runs from the IM(head side) that goes to your FITV on teh IM by the thorttle body, then that goes to your IACV on the back of your IM THen after that it goes back into your coolant passage at the back of the block. Just basically take the line between the IM(head side) and FITV and take it out, runa new lnie fromt eh IM9head side) to one side of the turbo, then the other side, have the lnie comnig out of the turbo into teh FITV

oh, suddenly it all makes sense :D
do i have to worry about angles being steep enough for draining like the oil return, or is there enough coolant being pumped that it wouldnt matter?

Could you not just put the turbo in the middle of the line goign to the FITV. Like it goes in one side of the turbo and exits on it way to the FITV?
