ok so heres the deal im working on this 00 gsr for someone and the car used to be supercharged before it was stolen and they want to return it to stock or N/A, heres whats on it.
-b18c1 motor with a eagle stroker kit and a deck plate a lil over .6"
-p72 head
-stock injectors and ecu
-stock headers and exh
-pretty much everything is back to factory except for the stroker

it drives like crap and has no power. i did leak down and well its horrible and headgasket is bad and my question is can i just take out the deck plate and put it back on. or does the pistons ride into the plate part? i don't see how they could because i would think that the rings would catch. i guess what im wanting to make sure is that there only used to drop compression. any help or incite would be very much appreciated. thanks alot

NJIN BUILDR

The sleeves go through the deckplate.Either replace the pistons with higher compression domes,or sell/trade the bottom end and get a stock one.

ugh that sucks. is that true even if there is 2 hg 1 in between deck and head and one between block and deck?

yea i riped off the head today and you were right it the sleeve goes all the way up. i guess im gona call up eagle and see where to get the hg from for it thx for the help
