gsr tranny on a stock si is it slower?
Someone wants to trade my sir tranny for his gsr tranny... In about a month, I am going with the drag kit. I know the gsr tranny will be better when I am boost but he wants to trade now. Would that gsr tranny slow me down until I get the turbo installed? So basicly, the question is: Is a stock si faster then an si with a gsr tranny? If yes, how bad? Thanks for the help...

Because of the B16's VERY narrow torque band, I'd say it'd probably be a little slower with a more loosley spaced GS-R tranny vs. a very tight Si tranny, but for boost a GS-R would be excellent. if you guys were local I'd trade you my GS-R tranny for your Si, but I'm in Miami

You'll also notice that my GS-R is not turbo, therefore I wound't want it because it's "quicker" for that puropse, it is much better suited for N/A duties which would be the only reason I'd swap..
BTW you'll note I'm not in his area and am not trading anything with him..
