GSR motor with LSD Turbo or Gsr head with ls/vtec turbo and with LSD
Which would be better for relibility and speed on the quarter mile? Anyone with experience on both setups please give any pros and cons.

Well, due to the additional torque you're going to generate, I would say the Frankenstein, all other things being equal

the ls/vtec turbo will create alot of torque. and torque does help when your trying to run a straight line in a hurry. good hp too.

The LS stroke is about 0.07" longer than the GSR stroke. You won't feel crap for a difference in low end, the only difference you'll feel is the IMAGINARY difference in your head because you think your motor is making way more torque because of the super huge LS stroke torque.
The reason LS-turbo cars make so much torque at X amount of WHP is because they typically run a lot more boost to make the same amount of horsepower. 14 pounds of boost hitting at 4000 RPM's will boost your peak torque much higher than running 8 pounds on a GSR motor, where most of the horsepower gain comes from the improved head and camshafts on the top end.
Running an LS/VTEC is not a magical way to make pounds and pounds more torque than a GSR!
