Default GSR ECU and Greddy Turbo Kit

I have a 95 GSR, I'm trying to get a little more power out of it and still stay streetable and smogable. I am considering the Greddy Turbo kit as I have been hearing many better things about it than the JR Super Charger. However I found out I can't use the Greddy kit since it only works on 96 and up GSR's due to the ECU difference. So I'm wondering if I switch out my ECU from the 95 to a 96 and up one, will I be able to use the Greddy kit and pass smog and get a bit more power? Any info or help is much appreciated. Thanks...

Default Re: GSR ECU and Greddy Turbo Kit (GSRoadRage)

Isn't someone here running the blue box on their OBD1 car? I might try it on my 93 teg after I pull it off the 96. I imagine it will work as long as you use the 310cc injectors supplied with the kit and connect the injector and MAP sensor lines from the blue box to the corresponding lines on the OBD1 ECU.
