I bought a set of GSR cams for my b16 head..
What do you guys think, anyone notice a difference with them... I heard they are a pretty decent turbo cam for a b16 head...

OR am i totally out to lunch?

Any help would be nice

You're right, they will provide a significant gain in boosted engines over the b16.

In terms of b-series vtec turbo cams, they are the best bang for the buck....ITR's are better but cost quite a bit more.

BTW you could have searched, this has been discussed numerous times.

thanks man, i did read alot about it.. thats what made me finally decide to buy a set.. i was just throwin it out there to get actual confirmation from people that have done it


what do you suggest i do to my head when i go to put in the new cams.. ITR springs and retainerS?

the GSR cams? You don't need to do anything...unless you want to rev higher.

I don't see any point in installing an ITR valvetrain unless you have ITR cams as well.

so, i dont have to do anything special.. new cams just replace the stock ones, thats it...

Get some adjustable cam gears too while you are at it if you have access to a dyno.

i already have a set of cam gears, and the valve cover is already cut...

Im gonna be tuning it on a dyno, so that will be done..

Push for ITR cams and aftermarket valvetrain. However GSR's should net more power over the B16's if you're on a budget...

i have gsr cams in my b16 head lsvtec turbo. im glad i did them over the b16 cams. for the price its worth it. you will pick up good midrange and also high end
