GS-r Turbo Suggestions?
Ok...I got a gsr, dc headers, type r head, aebs intake manifold, exhaust, and everything else is stock pretty much with 150,000 miles. Stock block and all. I am starting to buy the parts for turbo setup all before summer and do all the work in the summer.
I am wanting some suggestions for cheap setups. I am not looking for killer whp maybe 250 or 300. I am limited to 1-2k dollars....
Any suggestions would be great
thanks

Man U FTW
-The header isnt going to help at all...sell it
-depending on the diameter of the exhaust, it might be useless as well (2.5" is minimum)
-low budget setups are inviting problems IMO
Try not to post multiple threads of the same thing. If you weren't getting enough answers in the Integra Forum, just PM one of us (moderators on the forums) and we'll move it for you instead.

couldnt agree more myself. Your better off getting good quality parts the first time around b/c if not your going to loose money in the long run. I've been building my setup for about 8 months now (mickey d's payroll sucks) when i could have gotten a cheap setup in the beginning and already been disappointed with it. Dont rush is wat im trying to say.
with that said if your power goals are only around 250 you can keep the stock block and if you choose even stock internals. Stock internals have proven to hold up to 300whp safely but its all in the tune. What kind of setup are you looking into? keeping a/c? powersteering?

Re: (trav95civic)
i wanted to do the same thing as you. I have a GSR with 177k on it and currently about to boost it.
I started out with a base kit from a XS ENGINEERING kit without the turbo for 500. I Then ended up buying a Greddey 18g kit for 485 to use the turbo. I bought a lot of small stuff. This is what my build ended up with so far.
Slim fans 12"x2
non tapped oil pan
XS Engineering Intake pipe
K&N filter
XS Engineering Charge Pipes
XS Engineering BOV pipe
Tial BOV
XS EngineeringManifold and heat shield
XS Engineering downpipe elbow
XS Engineering downpipe
Tapped oil pan
oil lines
oil feed
oil return
oil pan
FAST vac manifold
Mfactory Oil Sandwitch Adapter
Hondata intake manifold gasket
Greddy 18g Turbo
Greddy 18g turbo manifold
Greddy 18g turbo elbow
Greddy BOV
Greddy BOV pipe
Jaw Wideband gauge
Bosch Sensor wideband
Autometer oil pressure gauge/sensor
Autometer Boost Gauge
RC 440cc injectors
P72/S100 Hondata
Walboro 255 fuel pump
Manual Boost controller
4 wire o2 sensor
BLOX Cam Seal
XS Engineering Intercooler
APEXI Exhaust
Skunk2 Adjustable cam gears
theres a lot of small things i bought thats not listed, stopped counting how much i spent after i hit the 2500. I wanted to start with a 1000k budget but ended up buying a lot of quality parts not to mention the extra parts. This parts list started last summer and i keep adding to it as i find new things i might add. I am also getting a new inline pro head gasket installed at inline pro to push 14lbs safely; and am also getting it tuned there through a hookup. So its probably going to end up being a lot more than the car is worth...lol.
I would suggest doing it right and what everyone says is true. Going turbo is not cheap since our cars are made for NA.
