greedy gsr turbo down pipe
hi the greedy gsr turbo down pipe is 2inch and i think there is restrictrion there
my question: y greedy did a 2inch down pipe on a 18g turbo???
if i put a 2.75inch down pipe can i see hp gain there

Same here bro. I have that small azz down pipe. It sucks. You can have a muffler shop bend a new pipe for you that is larger but make sure it is manderal bent.

i asked greddy the same question. they said because of the dimensions on the stock cat!!! i have heard many dumb things, and this is one of them. i guess they designed it based on a totally stock car. a very strange idea, since i would assume that most people would be/already had upgraded exhaust. i'm getting a kooks custom 3" downpipe put in...along with 3" carsound cat and 3" thermal r+d exhaust. i haven't dynoed but i'll let you know how it feels...

Another reason is that it is sold as a "bolt-on" turbo kit, and as such people who buy it would expect it to bolt right on I asume.

Can somebody point me to where I can find a Carsound cat... I plan on going with a 2.5" DP, 2.5" testpipe and 3" catback, but if I can retain the cat w/ a Carsound unit, I'd like too.

can someone tell me more about this kooks custom downpipe? I have a custom one but it's not that great, main problem is that i'm still going through a 2 1/4 piece of flex pipe before it expands to 3"..

i just had one done yesterday. kooks does beautiful work. the downpipe can't start at 3" because of clearance issues coming out of the dump tuble...bewteen the oil pan/oil return line and the intercooler piping. it expands to 3" as soon as possible though. he welded it up to a 3" carsound cat, made a flange, and bolted it up to my 3" thermal. the car pulls much more strongly, especially in the high rpm range.
the company is based in LI, NY. i also saw them working on a turbo marifold for JD from TNT, who used to be with AXZ tuning. it looks liek a great piece!
my only problem now is that my airfuel meter is stuck at totally rich. it appears that my o2 sensor is not able to warm up dude to all the extra airflow. any ideas?

cost me about 335...to make the downpipe, weld it to the cat, weld in the o2 bungs (i am OBD II ) and mount up the thermal. the craftsmanship is excellent. they had some SERIOUS cars there.
