Greddy Turbo Kits?
I'm still looking around for a cheap but good turbo kit. I love the full race kit but its kinda pricey for my budget. I have a 01 GSR....I keep hearing that once you boost over the factory 7psi you start to have problems with the GREDDY kits! Please help me out!

Re: Greddy Turbo Kits? (BlueTeg01)
i really don't know about the problems about going above the greddy set limit, but i bumped my brother's greddy kit up form 5 psi (single cam kit.) to 8.5psi using the wastgate acuator rod. no problems at all. ran everyday for 8 months. never burned oil, never leaked oil, and the install was the best part about it. everything lined up perfectly....i mean everything. total time to install with me and one other guy: 4 hours w/ intercooler, BOV, and e-manage. great kit imo

I've got the kit too with intercooler BOV external wastegate etc... B18C5 (GSR Kit).
Good kit, so far so good. Only tuned up to 5 PSI at this point, 210 WHP.

Edit: Needed external WG to get rid of boost creep... could be that the B18C5 flows too much exhaust for the kit? *shrug* Tial 38mm works way better. Profec B Spec 2 for boost control

i dynoed at 7 PSI but ive since gone up to 10 PSI. @14 it should be well into the 300WHP area. i need to get a 3 BAR MAP sensor.

Greddy = Quality to me. But really, how far do you want to take your car? if you plan to run 15-18 lbs of boost on the greddy kit, i'd advise you to go with another kit. the greddy turbo is kind of small, which is great for street driving, but it runs out of steam up top when compared to the popular t3/t4's here on ht.
200-300 whp is doable, are you aiming higher?
