Default Greddy Turbo Kit Question (98 d16y8 in a 94 DX hatch)

Im going to purchase a greddy kit non intercooled.

i have a 98 d16y8 engine sitting in my 94 DX running a 95 p28 ECU

which kit do i order?

96-00 ex kit?
or 92-95 si/ex kit?

and what is the diffrence? is it cause of the piping fitment? or the ECU in diffrent years?

<----first time posting in forced induction cause all of a sudden i had an urge to boost

and i already read the whole FAQ stick at the top

why would they sell it cheaper then?

is it cause of the e-manage that comes with it?

I have the 92-95 15g kit on my 97 Y8...works fine, slight difference in the oil return line adapter for the oil pan I believe. Also the newer kit comes with e-manage so thats a waste. Get the 92-95 kit

It's everything you need. FMIC bov. Ill throw in an extra oil pan if it doesnt sell on ebay

PS Running w/o an intercooler, bov, or w/ greddy fuel management is just asking for trouble

92-95 Civic kits and 96-00 Civic kits all come with Emanages now. Originally the 92-95 had the "blue box" and the 96-00 came with Emanage but now they all do.

The wiring for the Emanages are different depends on what yr ecu your running.

The 96-00 kit i believe uses a newer Mitsu turbo TD04-19T. The 92-95 kits runs a TD04-15G turbo

E-manage also seems to cause alot of map sensor related problems, especially on the obd-2 cars.

Thats a good question, I just put a TD04 15G kit on my '93 Ex and it comes with everything you need including the E-Manage, but I dont know what the difference with OBD1 and OBD2 is with the kit. Either kit should work though and i definitly love the Greddy kit. GOOD LUCK!

OBD-II kit includes E-manage, injectors and a larger turbo.

I have the emanage on a 96 integra and have never had a map sensor problem. Theres alot of misinformation on the emanage on this board. Its a great unit and has alot of features.

The 96 ^ kit will work, youll just have to download the emanage manual to get the wiring hookup to the 92-95 kit. The 96^ kit comes with injectors and the 19t turbo, which is why it costs more. The 19t should be good for about 50whp more than the 15g.
