Default greddy turbo, black smoke from exhaust help!!

i have a greddy 15g kit... basically brand new zero shaft play and the turbo is minty mint!!!

so when I idle it, before it gets warm a lot of black smoke pours out the exhaust

I am pretty sure my valves are good and my turbo doesn't need a rebuild.

Could it be because of not having an oil restrictor? The greddy kit doesn't come with one to my knowledge, it has a banjo fitting that connects to the turbo but I don't think it has a built in restrictor (correct me if I'm wrong)

What could this problem be?

Thanks for all suggestions and help

my friend who helped me build this car says he would have described it as blue smoke and it's definitely burning oil

You can smell it if its oil.

Make sure the housing clamps are all tightened down.

If your using the stock kit feed like switch it out for a -3an with no resrictor. The line that comes with the kit is known to overfeed.

Well if the oil feed is the same size as the 18g kit (-6?) your not gonna be able to find a restrictor for that size.
