i am planning for a greddy turbo kit for my mostly stock 2000 civic si b16a2 i am new to the small engine big power thing i own a 1500 chevy with a 350. i want to build the bottom end when i get the turbo i want to keep it to the stock specs but would like to get a light weight crank the motor has 150000 miles on it do i need to re-sleeve it or go to a bigger piston or ring size i have tried doing some searching but not sure what exactly i'm looking for in these little motors what's best and all if it were a 350 sbc i could build the crap out of it. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

You can't get a lightweight crank for it and there is no need to. You can't compare a small block to one of these engines. The stock cranks have been proven time and time again to handle over 500whp. This is way more then you will ever make with that Greddy kit.

If you plan to simply bolt on the Greddy kit and go, then you won't need to play with the internals. Keep the boost to a mild level and under 10psi. Get it tuned PROFESSIONALLY by someone who knows what they are doing. At 7psi, non intercooled and untuned, my 99 Si did 197whp back in the day using the Greddy kit. Intercooled with tuning would have obviously made much better results, but funds didn't allow at the time.

You need to first ask yourself what your hp goals are. If you want to make 400 or so to the wheels, then you need to start considering pistons and rods at the min. Sleeves aren't a bad idea but will run you around a grand.

Remember, everything for these engines costs twice as much (generally speaking) compared to say your SBC parts.
