Greddy Timing belt for LS/Vtec Turbo Setup
Is there really a need to go with an aftermarket timing belt? Im shootin for 350-400 whp and Im wondering if i should go with a greddy timing belt...
any help would be greatly appreciated, and yes.. I searched the topic

no, stock belts are stock belts. With ls/vtec you just have to make sure you have the right water pump & timing belt combo

19 tooth wp = non vtec timing belt

im' not sure if they are any different. I think the reason it has a larger gear is because w/ vtec engines you rev higher..so if you were using a 19tooth gear your water pump would be flying by 8krpm.. so jumping up to a 22tooth it keeps the revolutions of the water pump lower because of the larger diameter gear.. and probably at a better speed.
