Greddy RS BOV, hard or soft setting?
What is the purpose of the hard or soft options you can do on the Greddy Type RS bov. I've searched but didnt find anything. Thank you.

Most adjust it for noise, but thats not its purpose, when you start to run more boost you will find that boost actually can push the bov open, to solve this you make it stiffer to the point that it does not leak boost. I have found on mine running as low as 12psi on a 3076r the bov leaks boost if its full soft, i have it set about 1/4 way stiff while i have a friend with an evo who runs it damn near all the way stiff but he is runing about 25psi using a GT35r.

I tested mine up to up 18psi with my chargepipe pressure checker, and it really didn't matter what setting it was at. It leaked after that, but I didn't have the upper nipple connected either.

what else would you like to know?
too hard = compressor surge
too soft = boost leak
you just have to find a happy medium

Thats a shame it wasnt hooked up, i think that wold make a difference... What size turbo did you have anyway? I'm surprised it stayed shut up to 18psi.
