Greddy Profec B Spec 2 owners look here!
Well i was working on the car yesterday and when i pulled out my turbo and manifold somehow i got hooked on the wire harness for my profec and ripped the plug apart as well as the pins from the "wire harness" that they give you that plugs into the solenoid. Can someone do me a favor and go look at thiers and tell me how it is oriented? Look at it from the back side (where the wires go in) and have the clip that locks them together at the top. Thank you so much.

Sorry, I cant get to it cause its all tucked in up under my bumper. Theres only 2 wires though so it wont be hard to figure out.

if you pulled the wires out of the solenoid plug and it still doesn't work something is fucked up.
the solenoid doesn't really care about polarity it should work either way iirc

did it spike like that with it wired both ways? the solenoid should be fine, the electro magnet polerized the wrong way would just make the solenoid want to move the opposite direction but the casing will prevent it from moving. it can only draw as much as its peak current regardless of polarity so it shouldn't blow.

if i'm right...the white wire is on the left and the green on the right......white to red and green to black......it won't hurt it to hook it up backwards...but it might not work right

you might need to adjust the gain setting. usually spiking occurs from the gain being too high but maybe having no gain value is causing a problem as well. greddy sets the gain at 10 from the factory, and i used that setting for 7 and 10psi with perfect consistency. so try...
set = 0
gain = 10
set gain = 0
see what happens and lemme know.
here is a link to the manual http://www.greddy.com/tech/PROFEC_B_SPEC2.pdf
take a look at page 22 problem #4. (lol that sounded like some high school homework assignment ) GL

what kind of settings were you using. and what did you do different to get it to hold 7-8psi

Re: Greddy Profec B Spec 2 owners look here! (dpetro1)
well the settings dont affect it at all i tried a bunch of diff settings
to fix it so far i ptu the wires in the correct order, changed the old vacuum T that i changed at the same time the plug broke, and also resoldered the wires back onto the pins in the plug because they were almost falling off...
i thought since i got it to hold 7psi it was just hooked up backwards so i switched the wires one more time and it did the same thing.

well that blows if adjusting the settings isnt changing the boost pressure. seems like something is still wrong or its just not working anymore

well i figured out why it wasnt blinking the highest boost ..because i had that turned off and didnt realize that was what it was
