Greddy Oil return line SOHC size *learn the hard way*
I had a small leak in my oil return line for my greddy kit. We all know that cheap rubber hose that comes with the kit wont last forever. I asked acouple people for size before i started this project so i would have the spare hose here. Well I was told 1/2in INSIDE diameter. Turns out they were wrong and i measured my stock oil return line that came with the greddy kit and the INSIDE diameter is 3/4in.
Cliff notes... Greddy oil return line for SOHC is 3/4in INSIDE diameter.

so what's wrong with the hose that comes with the kit ?? .. I used that heat resistant paper that comes as well ... not sure what will happen ... just put it 3 hours ago (when I finished the whole kit)

Its just a normal rubber hose. Mine lasted for 2 years without problems. But now has sprung a leak.

the rubber hose becomes hard and brittle from the heat, as long as nothing hits or moves it i imagine it would be fine., I am gong with one of the fancy hoses with the metel sleeve.

Actually its not normal hose...Normal hose would be like heater hose which will wear through much more quickly than the hose that comes with the kit..

Ok ...I guess my used kit came with a normal hose then.
Another question, should i get some heat foil for the hose?

Heater hose will get mushy after a while. Use a hydraulic type of rubber hose meant for oil and high temp.

Re: (CRXDrew)
aslong as the heater hose is compatible with gasoline and oil it should be fine. Its not really the heat that makes hoses brittle, its the petroleum chemicals in the oil/gasoline that eat the rubber.
