Default Greddy kit for 300 whp or 300+ on this setup or in general

I really appreciate all the help I have received from many of you guys and your suggestions but I need to know if this kit is able to achieve the desired hp I statd in the topic. I really only want to emphasize on the greddy for the fact I notice alot of people say "you should have gone drag or rev hard" , and definitely not taking anything away from either of those kits but for some reason I have truly enjoyed the greddy kit by far and now for the past 7 months I have had the car not one problem has occured. Setup I have as follows:

greddy kit
9:1 je pistons
eagle rods
arp headstuds
blockguard
SDS system w/ 440 or 550 cc injectors
profec-b or avc-r for boost controller
skunk2 manifold
ame fuel rail and sx fpr

with propper tuning and everything in check do you guys think I can hit 300 or more whp reliably? And to achieve that amount is it even necessary to sleeve the cylinder walls being that my max boost would be 16psi? and daily driving set for 10.

I am not going for the fastest car, just enough power to please my own thirst and those numbers would be more than enough.
Muchos gracias,

Nick

That should hit 300 to the wheels easy....boost like 14 psi and its all good. Shoot we made about 300 whp with a jackson and 13psi on a gsr motor...

I think it will be doable to hit 300hp with the GReddy, but it will take more boost than it would with a t3/t04e that the other kits come with

i saw the dyno graph for a greddy kit and the drag kit in some old magazine...umm the drag kit makes more power, but i noticed how it was linear and didnt make that power until like 7-8000 rpms. the greddy kit has huge midrange power.... i dunno, i'm glad i got the greddy now even though it makes 'less' peak power.

I am aware of all the restrictions the kit had and basically took care of them, I replaced the dowpipe to a 2.5" piece ,removced the restrictor plate, and ported out the manifold a bit more for better airflow. As far as peak numbers go I honestly don't care about the more power with less boost from a T3/4 , just trying to make it work with the greddy if possible.

removced the restrictor plate
Nick, can you tell me where I can find this thing? I wasn't aware of this plate. Also, one more question, have you cleaned your air filter yet? If so, what sulotion did you clean it with..

Nice setup though. You'll get good numbers after that and fine tuning.
Peace Out.

DB8, if you take off the inlet pipe going to your turbo with the filter connects to you'll see you only have like maybe 1.5" or 2" allowing air to come in, just pry that stupid plate off the pipe, it has about 3 very small weld points, get a dremel and be rid of that **** in 2 minutes. Peace

And naw haven't cleaned it...yet
maybe with some ajax and mothers polish

With the amount of money you're putting into all that engine work I still think it would be well worth it for you to send your turbo to majestic and put a T4 compressor on the end of it; if you stick with the Greddy piece you should probably upsize your intercooler because that little bugger will be pushing the limits of its efficiency band if you try to squeeze much more out of it. Just a thought.

I was told to upgrade to a 20g compressor but if I can attain 300 or more whp on the 18g safely than I will stick to it.

the greddy turbo will not push out more than a t3/to4e and or the greddy will not boost as high either.

I know but thats what I am looking for....read the top. Everybody thinks that getting all this mad hp= a long lasting car when in fact it doesn't! Just because you may have an engine pushing out over 350 to the wheels and is bullet proof doesn't mean your AXLES can't snap, or charge pipes popping off constantly. The bottom line is preferrence and the BIG PICTURE. Do you want something with a HUUUGE amount of hp but really isn't all that streetable or something that can take out a C5 vette with ease and be efficient at the same time? hmmm

Gmedallion, Looking for low 12's on slicks, and I am aware of the times you posted and your setup and like it alot but the fact comes down regardless that everything is stock on the internals and your compression is lowered still doesn't take away the fact that those pistons can't take the stress as good as any forged piston, rod, etc etc.. I do like your setup alot though, definitely phat and if it lasts than I give you props, but if I am doing this I might as well go with the works 1 time because I don't want to have to be repairing **** constantly but I want to do it with the greddy turbo, not a t3/4, and if need be pgrade the wheel to a 20g.
