Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno
Let me know what you guys think... please pay attention to my Air/Fuel readings (the lower graph), do you guys think I can keep the boost at 10psi for daily driving?
This is a Dyno Dynamics Dyno...not a DynoJet...DynoJet should be a bit higher numbers.... FYI

A/F looks pretty rich, man. Are you using the Greddy Blue Box? Do you have any way of removing fuel at a given RPM?

yeah greddy blue box... greddy gsr kit... better rich than lean... do u think i should keep boost at 10psi... or back down to 8.5 psi... take a look at the dip at the vtec cross over at 5,500 rpms.... does it look normal?

Well, if you get wheelhop on a dyno, then it's useless. If you hadn't told us it was hopping I would have guessed that your timing is way off or that the car was detonating and the ecu was retarding the timeing to compensate. With this kind of plot, you can't tell anything. For instance, I can't tell you if the dip at VTEC is because it wheelhopped or because of something else. Also, drop your fuel press a bit. You only need to run 12.5:1 fuel to live safe... You're way rich. It's not saving your engine, just causing you to loose power.

Re: Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno (JRSCCivic98)
Well the car was strapped on tight on the dyno, but I was told the inconsistent hp graph was due to vibration on the 'Dynamometer'... (There was no visible sign of wheel hop though)
But what do you guys think about the A/F ratio... would I be able to run the car safely at 10psi?

Re: Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno (1996GsrVtec)
numbers suck, you should be close to 280 with 10 psi
Anyways, who said that your car was wheel hopping? The dyno operator?... If you didn't see any problems, then it is most likely a timing issue. Good luck with tuning it.

Timing Timing Timing...
Adjust the timing on that thing! Back it down 2-4 degrees base <turn the distributor> and pull out a little fuel...
i see 275ish at 10 PSI easily possible.

Gee, give the man a break. Not everyone can magically pull out numbers from their *** like you...

So do you think it's safe to stay at 10psi with the GReddy turbo kit w/ type 24 FMIC?

Re: Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno (pornstaR)
Put a FPR on it.... Like the AEM or B&M or something... back off 10% on the fuel <Example: take 30 PSI down to 27 PSI> and try again...
I'll bet by taking 2 more degrees of timing out <15 is STOCK setting for timing, try 13> and backing off the fuel some, you'll have a much cleaner graph, and you can tell the lying person at the dyno to go to hell
Just MHO, BTW.

DynoMeter numbers incorporate Drive train loss and are typically about 20-25 hp less than on a dynojet... dynometer and dynojets are jsut 2 different measuring devices.... just my .02

Re: Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno (5speedv6)
Did you use pump gas on this run as well?
and I should use the AEM FPR 1:1, right?

Re: Greddy GSR Turbo ~ Dyno (pornstaR)
Pornstar...i think you should lower to 9.5 psi and get the fpr.... u'll still cream pete's M3 and henry's s4...lol... and then i'll be able to keep up......
U can guess who this is....
