Greddy EGT stuck at 1200
I searched and found four threads on this topic, but no solutions becides just shaking the gauge. Any one fix this yet???? Mine is stuck there too now, I hope it's not broken....

you may have to pull your probe... when mine broke I think it did that.. I had to replace the probe, that costs almost as much as a new guage...
mine was obvious.. the probe was all blown apart at the end like elmer fudds shotgun

do you have the power wired properly? by this i mean is the switched wire on the ignition, and is the constant power wire ALWAYS constantly powered? when i installed my greddy boost gauge i just tied both of these wires together because i figured "why does it need constant power if theres no memory?" however when i powered it on, the needle got messed up and would never go back. the only fix was to send it to greddy and have them "reset" it.

Thats exactly what I did too. Hmm, I'll call greddy on monday and see what they say.

This happened to me too. I could never figure out how to fix it. It'snot cause it is wired wrong cause I just bought another gauge and plugged it in and it worked fine. It's not the probe either.
I shook the **** outta mine too and didn't help.
p.s. keebler65 said something about the power wires being together. I did that too and no problems.
Dr. Pooface, let me know if you figure it out.

Update: I left my gauge installed in my car for a few days even though it wasn't working (I am lazy). I look down at it tonight and WTF its working! I was so happy. Then when I got home and turned the car off it jumped back to 1200! Then I turn the car back on and now the gauge is stuck again!! WTF!!!! I was so mad I just grabbed it and shook it like a **** in frustration. After I had raged, I look and the needle is pointing straight down.
Two conclusions:
1: Shaking/banging the gauge really does reset the needle to 0.
2: The gauge really does need a constant 12v source. I have the 12v constant and the illumination wires twisted together, I thought it wouldn't make a difference. But I notice that the needle jumps erratically when I shut the car off, and goes back to 1200. I'm convinced that wiring the gauge as the instructions show, with a constant 12v supply, will fix the problem I and others have had. Well, that and a good shake.
Feel free to im me with q's.

umm dood yes you HAVE to do 12v constant or else everytime you cut the power it will jump back. i thuoght you knew that but just didn't know how to reset it. tap each wire from their different sources. it'll work fine. for figuring it out on your own though lol
