wastegate and flapper door will need to be changed too. The gate spring can't hold enough pressure that is required to get 350whp out of the turbo, and the door may not be able to bleed out effectively enough.

350 maybe. My story, i've made 270 on 8lb on the greddy 18g with a 3inc pipe all the way to the muffler. Then crack a sleeve, ctr at modesto is building my car right now since i crack the sleeve on the dyno tunning it. Bad headgasket i guess. coolant into cylinder and boom. Hopefuly 320 after my car is complete.
You will get 350, but mabe on like 18psi something around there. You can use the t25 elbow they sell on ebay for SR20. Bend it to fit your kit. they go for like 40bucks ship. That what i did, oh yah get the 3inc one you will make more power.

I'm pretty damn sure I'll reach 350 on 18-20psi with a fully built motor and bisi 2.4cam. I'm unclear on the flapp/WG mods I will have to make though.

The wastegate on the Unit will not sustain 18-20psi. It is a 6.5psi spring and will not hold that gate open any more than 14psi. That must be changed first. I believe there is a replacement for that, but I'll need to see pictures of the wastegate bracket and actuator arm to see if a 56397 14psi wastegate actuator will fit. Without that, no matter what you do, it will not hold more than 14psi.

In addition, the wastegate flapper door may need to be opened up to keep from any creep (since the wastegate is only 32mm), but considering that you are going to max out a turbo that is smaller than a 50 trim (only 41lbs/min), you'll more than likely have it shut anyway.

I was actually planning on going with an external wastegate and welding the flapper shut.

I made 322hp on 15.6psi on this kit, but the difference was I had the same dp setup as avotegra, bigger charge pipes, and 750cc injectors. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...greddy&page=11 check here for more info, 90 JDM EF8 made 430hp on the greddy 18g with an external gate.
