I went to turn the bolt and it just poped out. The threads are completely stripped. Now what do I do? Do i need a whole new BOV? or can I get just a new top piece?

can you just re-drill and tap the hole, get a larger bolt and your set.

I guess that would work. When I take off the top purple part, is there any kind of gasket, o-ring, or something that will need to be replaced when I put it back on?

when that happened to my type s i didnt have anything to re thread it with so i just took the nut from the top of the BOV and jb welded it to the bottom. the nut acted as the thread and it never came loose or anything.

Hmm, I may have to try that if I can't find anybody to re tap it. Do you ever find that the screw has backed out at all since your not using the nut as a lock nut?

You might be able to even do a nut on the topside as well as underneath... Either that or some blue locktite with the way gordox suggested.
