Re: Grand Prix GTP's.....? (Scott Anderson)
Oh I forgot to say: I Have one. I just want to know what other People think of them when they see one of these gorgeous specimens drivin round.

This friday I find out how possible it is!

What are your mods, my friend has one but he is not racing or modding his car. I race him and my boy's 96 impala all stock from a 40mph roll and the GTP came dead last saying he didn;t want to punch it. But they're nice cars. I heard you can make good power just by getting a diffent pulley ? is this right?

Re: (deebee-II)
Your friend woulda been KILLED if he Had tried in a 40mph roll! That's the Absolute worst place to start a race in a stock GTP! no downshift just go it's horrible!
The 3.4" pulley swap is good for at least a 1/2 second in the Quarter mile/about 30 hp and 50 or so Lb/ft of torque. It's like a whole new car!!
It's only $70 bucks too!
Currently I have a 3.4 pulley/Fenderwell intake/1.9:1 INTENSE Rockers/180º tstat.
well that's what I had when i hit 13.90
NOW i have that with a DHP PCM (computer)
IT's good for 2-3 tenths in the 1/4
My car as it was was capable of 13.7s if I did any track prep whatsoever and maybe some slicks, but I don't have/do either... never will too!
So if I drop 2 tenths off that there's my 13.5@ somewhere around 102?
Race your friend from a 20 mph roll and he'd have a much better chance. Kidnap his car and put a pulley on for him for 70bucks he'd **** his pants at the difference! No GTP should go longer than the breakin period stock. That's a waste!
What kind of time does a boosted Prelude pull?!? Are you Turbo'd or Blown?!?

he is CT now but I'll doubt he would let me borrow his car as far as the prelude is in storage for now since I'm in japan but is soon getting a built engine to replace my stock.
