Got my custom exhaust today *PICS*
Video Here: http://home.comcast.net/~keith...1.wmv
Got my new exhaust setup today, and I love it. It's really nice and deep, loud, but deep. I can also notice that it pulls a bit harder.
The setup is:
2.5" Downpipe
3" Flex Pipe
3" Carsound Cat
3" Mandral Bent Catback Exhaust
Magnaflow Muffler
BTW, it's on a 99 Prelude.
One question: It lets out a bit of black smoke when I really get on the throttle, is this normal for new exhaust?
Anyway, here are the pics:
So to Maganaflow!
Comments?

Yea that's what I'm afraid of. Any other ideas?

better rich than lean.
if you were too rich you could wash down the cyl walls, but it would be very noticeable... strong smell of fuel, lots of black smoke, rough idle, etc.

With more flow the car will run richer. Like when you remove the exhaust it gets richer and when you restrict the exhaust it leans out a bit. Since you may have more flow with this exhaust the car might run a bit richer, that would be the cause of the black smoke.

Wrong, exact opposite, with more AIR it runs lean. your getting more CFM's of airflow at the same map values, sense your ecu still sees the same map pressure values at a given RPM it gives the same amount of fuel, which causes a lean(er) condition, this is why MAF's are better than MAP's.

Yea there was a stainless steel tip welded to the muffler.
