Default Got my "drop shop" manifold today.

Well, got it today from fedex.

Some problems: Well, its not finished. What you say? Well, some reason Jon forgot to weld the corners when putting the flange on for the turbo. Guess its time for me to grind off some paint and re-weld it. I can honestly say, i will never buy anything associated with Jon ever again, and strongly discourage anyone to buy anything from him. I waited 2 1/2 months for an un finished manifold.

I will put him under the "bad sellers" list on my signature for sure. unless he wants to do something to fix this problem.

Im sure a lot of people will feel it's not fair to make such statements without pictures to back them up.
Nothing personal of course.
Sounds right. Pics will be up once my friend is finished with his final today. Also, a few friends will be adding the drop shop to their bad sellers list. it'll stand till Jon figures out what he wants to go for me as far as reimbursements are concerned.

Let me first say that i have nothing to do with Jon or the dropshop, but its extremely unfair to label someone a "bad seller" before you even give them a chance to remedy the situation. People can make mistakes, and deserve a chance to fix that mistake. Just my opinion.

How can you make up for a 2 1/2 month waiting time mistake though? Id feel the same way if I waited that long for a product and it was still not right. You can not correct the time issue. And say he said send it back and ill fix it. Would you have to wait anouther 2 1/2 months? Pretty lame...

i understand where he is coming from, i mean after all he DID say that they SHIPPED 2 mondays ago, and they didnt, the whole ordeal was one word then something else. my manifold wasnt bad except the egt hole wasnt there, so im not complaining. i was irritated waiting though.

Sonny, the part you missed also is, He lied on the shipping date, he refuses to answer the phone, won't return e-mails. He also has his away message on, and won't respond on Aol instant messenger.

He said the manifolds were shipped 2 weeks before they actually did. Then he lagged to get everyone's tracking number (except mine) and there are Few that are STILL waiting for thier manifolds when the group buy ended in early october.

I refuse to send this manifold back, not till i have my money in my hand. I also refuse to take the bad seller notation out of my signature and my friends' signature cause he has earned it rightfully so.

My e-mail address is JesterL278@aol.com, my phone number is 520-891-5872. Jon knows that number, and my house number because they call his shop it seems constantly.

On this last one, if you look at where the square flange connects to the tubing on the right hand sid,e you can see the spot where he missed. Its this way on the underside too.

Maybe you guys should just chalk this up as "you get what you pay for". Now, I have a Revhard manifold for D series if anybody needs one ... best one out there for the D's IMO.

Now I got an Inline Pro on the way for the "new" B18B going in soon....damn it's been so long since I've driven my car it's going to seem sooo fast

hmm, it appears that my manifold is better quality, it has cleaner welds, and just doesnt look as sloppy. i guess he started rushing to get them all done.

Like said before, i'm not shipping it back to you. I needed the manifold a month and a half ago. Now i finally have it, and you think i;m giving it up? Yea right! I'll take it to a machine shop, and let them give me a price on how much it would be to get it finished, then you can paypal me that much. Then I'll just weld it myself.

Sound fair?

if you want, take a ride up to tempe and we can finish the welds up, its not a big deal and wont take more than 15 mins. My shop is in mesa, at the end of the 202.

I love how GraphiteAccord is trying to use extortion to get cash out of a vendor.

The guy finally got the special order part he paid for, and intead of having it fixed for free, from not one, but two vendors willing to help... he decides to go off on his own, and modify the product, which will guarantee that it can't be taken back ....

Evidently unless cash is paid to him, he'll continue to propigate the problem... and evidently has a group of people willing to libel a shop name / reputation on a dozen other manifolds he hasn't seen. Man ... what a warning to other business owners.
