Default Got a few turbo questions.

Ok, accidently posted this a while back in the wrong forum. So, long story short I'm posting it in the correct spot now. Anyway, on to the question at hand.

Just wanted to know the ACTUAL difference between a hybrid turbo kit and one that is say for a 92-95 civic and a 94-98 integra. I have a 88 civic with a b18 in it and wanted to know. The only difference I can see in the kits would be maybe the intercooler piping??? Also wanted to know the difference between say a top mount turbo manifold and a ram manifold. Please let me know. TIA.

the only differences in those kits is the IC piping.....there may be small differences in the fitment of the manifolds but i doubt it....the dp might be slightly longer or shorter too depending on the engine...

topmount vs ramhorn.....it has been covered a few times, but here are the cliff notes

Topmount > Ramhorn

Intercooler piping and turbo mani flange (don't forget this one as a mani for a b-series wont fit a d-series head). That's all I can think of right now.

in the right setting top mounts are nice, however they are the new bandwagon.

Then I guess its simple. If I get a ramhorn mani I'm going to get the rev hard kit. If I get a top mount mani I'm going to get the peakboosts kit. Thanks for all the help.

P.S. KeyserSoze, I have complete swaped over to b series. There are like maybe two d series parts on the car now.

since when does RevHard make a ramhorn?? Also, piece your own kit together and you'll save money...

You said the dif between a turbo kit for a 92-95 civic and a kit for a 94-98 teg. That is why I said what I did.

I now realize that you were referring a b-series kit for either an ej or dc chassis...
