Default Good idea to switch to ITR oil pump for turbo

Is this a good idea to do?

I did. On my LS.
GSR and B20B is the same pump as the ITR by the way.

no the itr one has more teeth to go with the vtec timing belt.

No, Ls and b20 have the same. Gsr and ITR have the same. I just found this out the other day from tony. the pulleys on the LS are smaller. You could run a LS water pump if you used a LS timing belt, but why would you want to?

I had my existing B20B oil pump modified in order to make it more powerful, as I added an oil cooler, and was scared that the extra paths that the oil would have to travel would cause problems for the engine

I already picked up an LS timing belt...I am going straight LS, so I want utilize a GSR Oil pump and an LS water pump.

b16a vtec waterpump as well as all vtec water pumps require you to use 220 belt
The ls waterpump are different as well as b20b non vtec water pumps they require the 210 belt.

As long as you use the gsr timing belt (matching the oil and water pump) it should all work out.
