Gonna turbo my h22.... lemme know if you think this setup will do the job...
OK.. I figure this setup should be more than safe for my car... lemme know what you think...

- Hondata s200 without boost option .. just the basic unit , tuned for the injectors and the turbo by a pro...
- DSM 450cc Injectors

I opted for the hondata WITH the boost option, and 580cc injectors instead of the dsm 450's...

yup.. bone stock jdm h22 ... good compression... no smoke ... runs perfect...

thats a dam nice turbo kit. be aware that h22 ringlands are bound to break under boost. i think 6-7psi would be the most i would run on a stock block h22 considering the sc61. goodluck ~ tuning is the key.

The parts in your setup looks a little mismatched. Why are you getting a turbo capable of 400-500HP but injectors that can only support about 300 HP? Unless of course the DSM's are just gonna be used temporarily. You can probably replace the injectors when you break the ringlands running 7-10ish PSI on your stock H22.

That is basically what im doing.. The injectors are only temp while i save up for a decent block.. should only take me a couple months, and at 7psi with the hondata, i think i should be ok for that long... but we'll see ...

I was just gonna have the fuel map tuned accordingly... and make sure it doesnt lean out in boost... i was just gonna get the boost option when i get my built block...

whoa...I didnt even catch that.
I dont know much about Hondata, but unless I'm mistaken the boost option allows you to adjust fuel and timing in the boost portions. If you get a S200 without the boost option, you can only adjust timing and fuel in vacuum or N/A.

plenty of people run 7psi no problem on stock h22 blocks. i guess its a decent setup, but that turbo i think has alot of capabilities as far as the amount of psi you can throw at it, so resleeving might be your best bet if you get that turbo. otherwise get a smaller one and keep the block stock.
um yeah, the boost option is pretty much required. you'd be foolish not to get it

I turboed mine for a bit before a dizzy failure caused my rings to wash out. When it was running, it ran perfectly @ like 4psi since I had a boost leak. Currently motor is being built and will be back with a bigger turbo.
The ringlands are pretty weak so a good tune is definately required. But with 7-8psi, it should last you a while before you go ahead and build the motor. Good luck.

thanks ... i plan to tune the crap out of it so im pretty confident... i installed the high flow walbro 190 last night, it was free, and im sure it can handle 7psi no problem...

wtf? Who said nething about a fmu??? lol... Anyways i've asked a buch of shops in the are and they all agree that the 190 is just fine for 7psi tuned with hondata... I just picked up some 580cc injectors so im not all that worried...

yeah, but the 190 was free. i dont think any of us speak about fmus cuz so many ppl have different opinions about which one is best. personally, i would say go with whatever your tuner is most comfortable with, that way you'll be sure to get a good tuned setup from it.
