Default going turbo on my b20 please some tips!!

I just got this great deal on a greddy 18g turbo kit for my B20. i have a 1998 civic hatch with a jdm b20b with 4puck clutch and Ls tranny. I have done alot of swaps but i have never been turbo. this is a whole new thing to me but i would definately like to get into it.the kit is complete and will come with a blow off valve and a greddy intercooler. as of right now i am still running obd2a and i would like to keep the reliability of my motor.

so any tips??the kit also comes with emanage. so im guessing i dont need a tune??or would i have to buy a conversion kit??well lmk what you guys think i should do before i tackle this!!

thanx everyone for their support

also how many pounds of boost could i run on it??

also i had noticed some ppl leave their cars on at idle for a little bit before they turn them off. I saw some body had a car that would stay on and eventually turn off on its own. and i want that lol so if anyone has a clue what the hell im talking about lmk

first scrap the emanage

low boost for now b20 not so strong sleeves

get hondata,AEM,ect ect

its called a turbo timer it lets oil continue running through the turbo so sludge does not build up, cause of the high temps

if i do scrap the emanage i would just get a conversion harness and get it tuned with a chipped out ecu.......but i would like to use the emanage just because it came with the kit and it would save me money as i wouldnt have to buy anything else

just in this order

scrap emanage

obd2 to obd1 conversion harness

buy p28 ecu

have ecu chipped and tuned

go to dyno and tune motor

might be missing a few things here and there but thats about correct

the other poster is correct too low boost is good bc b20 sleeves are thinner than other b series motors.

TUNING IS KEY KEY KEY KEY KEY KEY KEY tuning will make your motor safe and relieable! give you great timing and great fuel, not too rich not too lean..

dont cheap out

Your b20 will thank you for not usuing emanage and using a modified version of its ecu fuel/spark tables.

using the emanage will shorten the life of the motor

my friend got a greddy kit and ran the emanage and his motor just went and it has 67000 miles on it

my motor 180000+ miles, hondata, runs like a champ

get the ecu chipped and tuned... then get the motor dyno/street tuned. its a must if you remotely want your car to run correctly and safe otherwise you should start looking for for a new motor while your turboing this b20

Yeah i aggree with everyone in here. Get rid of that E-manage, get a chipped ecu. Look into the CROME program, its a very good one. Sell the E-manage and get the ecu and buy the CROME kit and you should still have money left over...
