Going B20 Vtec w/ SC or turbo...can some1 lead the way?
Alrgiht, I have always ran NA and have decided i want to get into 11's now. My origional goal for my B20 was 12s....but i decided...well....why not shoot for 11s so i have decided to go forced induction. I am going to have about 6 grand or so by time i am done. I have not done anything to the motor yet. I am going to get it sleeved and everything. I have not even picked up the motor yet because i am curious what you guys think about the B20...yay or nay?
Some1 please help me out here. Yes...go ahead and make fun of be because i am 15.....but i have already restored several muscle cars including a 70 chevelle LS-6 with 454 bored and stroked to a 472. I do have experience building motors, and doing swaps. Just never done anything with forced induction.
Main question: Should i use the B20 and turbo/SC it...or get a different motor?
Which is easier? Turbo or SC?
Which will give me the best gains - turbo or SC?

Lots of research is your friend.
What chassis is this going in?
What head are you using?
Does this car need to be streetable?
http://www.turbomustangs.com/turbotech/main.htm
Read that
And visit this forum religiously. I'd also like to suggest homemadeturbo.com. They have gobs of information.

Re: (onemanlan)
turbo turbo turbo. the SC kits avail for the hondas just arent too good and dont make as much power. the powerband is optimal for road racing and auto X but not drag. if you're lookin to hit 11's turbos are the way to go.

thanks a lot
Got a quick question, ive been reading this and it keeps confusing me
What pistons and rods and everything am i going to need to get a low enough compression to run a good turbo setup? I am looking into ordering the block and head here this week, so kind of wanting to know these things ASAP
